Random Overseas Photo #8

This was on an absolutely freezing cold day in Krakow.
We could have easily stayed in the warmth of the hostel or found a cosy pub somewhere, but the city was there for the explorin' so we forced ourselves to walk aimlessly.
I forgot how much I loved this photo.
pictured are Mad Murphy, Sar, Mower and Candy.
They wee looking at these swans on an ice cold lake.......

The ladies man

This is a work mate of mine,Chris, with a bunch of sassy ladies.
We were doing an advertising shoot for a clothing store, and they needed a male model.
Chris was only too happy to put his hand up.

Belle armoire

I took some shots for local boutique, Belle Armoire.

Belle Armoire is french for 'Beautiful Wardrobe' I'm told.

Out the lake

I was out at the lake  the other week covering a story about the local Dragon boat team.

Storm clouds were rolling in and it  looked and felt kinda cool.

Malcolm In the bushes

I took some photos of this young lad for 'The Hub' in the paper.
He's name is Malcom and he plays bass in local Hardcore band 'Not unto us'.
He was a nice, easy going bloke.

This little job was kinda put on me at the last minute, so I didn't have a location in mind are anything.
Luckily, Malcolm suggested  the bit of land at the back of his house that had recently been cleared for development.

This shoot actually gave me the chance to test out my off camera flash gear that I had recently purchased... I plan to get better at this kind of stuff.

A horse of course!

As Melbourne Cup day approached, we were looking to get a cover with a  horse and jockey.

We toyed with the idea of getting a pantomime horse, you know something like this-

but we thought the jockey would be upset for not taking their profession seriously.

So i rang the president of the local racing committee and he got a bona fide jockey and horse sorted for me.

It was a bit daunting shoving a camera right up in the horses' grill, but she was cool as ice.

The filly's name is Dandabella, and the jockey was only too happy to get her out for a run

horses are tops!
